Top Ten Men’s Basketball Teams 2011-2012

1. North Carolina – Returning Zeller, Barnes AND Henson and adding another amazing recruiting class.
2. Duke – Adding another Plumlee to the fold as well as Austin Rivers should help replace three draftees (Irving, Smith and Singler).
3. Kentucky – Terrence Jones returning and Calipari’s ridiculous recruiting make the Wildcats a favorite.
4. Ohio State – Jared Sullinger returns with most of the starting lineup intact.
5. Connecticut – I know this is low for the defending national champions, but this team seems destined for turmoil.
6. St. John’s – Steve Lavin brings the top recruiting class in the nation to the Big Apple.
7. Syracuse – An experienced back court will complement a very athletic freshman class.
8. Memphis – They return a lot of talented young players who got precious tournament experience last year.
9. Louisville – They killed my bracket this past tournament, but they will be tough next year.
10. Wisconsin – Jordan Taylor will lead one of the stingiest defenses in the nation.
